Keeler Album

In 1912 H. Hobart Keeler hired a Ridgefield photographer, Hartland, to photograph various scenes in and around North Salem. Ruth Keeler donated the original album to the historical society. Many of the scenes were used to create postcards of the era. In 1980 Ruth sat down with Richard Koser, a trustee of the historical society and a professional photographer, and he asked her to relate some of the stories behind the scenes. You can read the interview by accessing it on the Historical Material page. Here we have again posted the album. Most of our banner images are from the album.
